The Neurosurgical Unit is Holby City Hospital's neurosurgery department.
The unit does not have a dedicated ward and instead operates on Darwin Ward — the hospital's cardiothoracics ward. Prior to 2021, neurosurgery was typically performed on general surgical departments such as Keller Ward or the Acute Admissions Unit, or in tandem with surgery of other specialities on wards such as Darwin. For a short period in 2014, a dedicated unit was established on Keller; in 2016, plans for the Guy Self Neurosurgical Unit were approved but later abandoned.
