Sacha Levy (born 6 September 1966) is a consultant general surgeon who works on Holby City Hospital's Keller Ward. He began working at the hospital in January 2010 as a locum registrar.

Biography[]

Hospital shooting[]

On 5 December 2017, Sacha became concerned about Jac's wellbeing after she began to show signs of severe anxiety, and he expressed his concerns to Henrik. As Sacha observed Jac operating with the new neurosurgeon John Gaskell, he was saddened as he watched her become increasingly emotionally-drained. Following the completion of the procedure, Sacha was heartbroken to hear Jac breaking down in Fletch's arms in her office. (HC: "Group Animal - Part One"; "Man Down")

Later that day, Sacha, Hanssen, Gaskell, and Essie discovered Jac in the basement after she was shot in the back by Fredrik Johanssen and rushed her into the wet laboratory. Upon discovering that the bullet had pierced one of Jac's major blood vessels, Gaskell suggested fixing it using an experimental haemostatic matrix, but Sacha vehemently disagreed, given that it had not been tested on humans, and insisted on waiting for Hanssen to return with equipment. However, Gaskell explained that Hanssen, who had left to confront Fredrik, was not coming back, and Sacha reluctantly allowed Gaskell to insert the patch; to everyone's relief, Jac's pulse returned. Once the hospital's lifts were reinstated, Sacha was horrified to discover a lifeless Raf with a gunshot wound to the neck. That night, Sacha volunteered to speak to the press about the shooting, but he struggled to cope with being bombarded with questions. (HC: "Group Animal - Part Two")

Robyn Miller's death[]

In March 2023, Sacha took on Robyn Miller's case after the nurse was involved in a car accident. Due to a lack of available theatres on Keller and surgical staff, Sacha was forced to operate on Robyn in the emergency department's trauma theatre with the assistance of EM consultants Max Cristie and Dylan Keogh, and charge nurse David Hide. Although the team managed to suture a damaged blood vessel and temporarily stabilise Robyn, further exploration of her abdominal cavity revealed additional bleeds and coagulopathy, so the team were forced to abandon the surgery and pronounce Robyn dead.
