Series eleven was the eleventh series of Holby City to air on BBC One. It consisted of a traditional 52 episodes and ran from 21 October 2008 before concluding on 13 October 2009.

The series saw the arrivals of siblings Oliver and Penny Valentine, new foundation training year 1 doctors, replacing the previous house officer system, making Maddy Yound the last SHO the hospital had, died in episode 32. Ward sister Chrissie Wiliams returned for the first 2 episodes of the series and returned full-time later on. The series saw the departures of general surgical registrar Sam Strachan and staff nurse Kyla Tyson. For Kyla's departure episode, former surgical consultant Abra Durant made a guest appearence. Former consultant Dan Clifford also guest appeared for the death episode of Maddy Young.
